Vaecordia

"Vaecordia": Latin, meaning "insensibility", "frenzy", or "madness"

"From the east, the King of the Sand hears of the approach of a conqueror. From the west, he's heard tales of a man of God. His descent into madness is complete; no one will take his throne"

This song attempts to illustrate the King of the Sand going insane, driven so by his lust for power. As mentioned in the breakdown for Glimpses of Destiny, the instruments in this song are geared towards intensity. It is supposed to make you feel uncomfortable. That made it a joy to write. I'm not being sarcastic at all.

In all honesty, though I do enjoy listening to this song, it was one of my least favorites to make, just because it felt so depressing. I think the end result works well though. It features several synths that I created years ago and never really had a project for, along with the standard sounds that I have been using for the King of the Sand up to this point.
