The Conqueror of Worlds
"In far away lands, the Conqueror rejoices. The time to take Eremus has come. He marches forth with many hordes. Eremus will once again have a new king."
This is another one of my favorite songs on the album, because I feel like it very accurately depicts what I was going for; the approaching of a larger than life conqueror that everyone is afraid of. The instruments here are very aggressive, starting off with the cellos and bases, and ending with huge hits. I decided to use the standard trailer "BWAAAM" sound to represent the Conqueror of Worlds for several reasons. One, though they're super over-played, they do sound amazing. Two, the fact that they're so overplayed kind of speaks to his character a little bit; he lacks depth. He's almost like a physical representation of chaos, just thrown in to make things a little more interesting. Three, while the King of the Sand's intensity is more subtle and abstract, I wanted the Conqueror of World's to sound very brash and obviously strong and powerful. In the end, he isn't nearly as powerful as he is thought to be, as we will see in Armorum Legends.
